Tryed contacting support and have not gotten a response.
Does anyone know why after selecting a probe, for example and 60 amp probe,
and going back to the scope I get a message saying unfortunately the scope has stopped functioning and it turns off.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Maybe the power supply to the scope through the USB cable is marginal and the the amp probe has a enough extra parasitic draw to cause an issue with the scope unless you can hook up it's auxiliary power source AC adapter or the one for the laptop or Maxisys the USB cable is attached to.

I think I would first try plugging in the AC power charging adapter to the Maxisys to see if that might stabilize the power supply to the scope from the MaxiSys.
