I have V2.42 loaded on mt TS401 and I have no issues. What vehicle are you trying to select, I can check mine to see if it's the software or hardware. -

All vehicle selections end up with that error. I went back to v2.40 and have no problems. -

It could be a bad download from the internet or the update got corrupted when loaded on the tool. What version of windows did you use to update it. -

using win7 to update. the download comes as a rar file and I have to extract it so maybe that is the problem. can I get the file as a bin somewhere? -

If you have installed such tool on your PC, just right click on the zipped folder, you will see extract. -

I got the file to extract fine. But when I installed it I got error message as described. -

If update process is done correctly, but the TS401 just cannot identify sensor after updating, pleaase check if it works with old version. If still cannot be fixed, we recommend you to contact dealer for warranty if it's within warranty period. -

The tool works fine with older version. Just a problem after the update. Using the older version now with no issues. -

You have to update the program which is the .bin file, then update the DTC file which is the .aut file in the folder. This will fix your problem.
