How could a TS401 "program" a VDO REDI-sensor? The TS401 is not equipped to teach or program any kind of sensors, it is just a passive listener. It only transmits signals to send out a trigger signal to sensors, so that it can read and decode the sensor ID and pressure (possibly also battery condition and temperature) which the sensor transmits for the vehicle part of the TPMS system.

Pretty sure a VDO REDI-sensor must either (and I would really appreciate anyone who knows reporting back) 1) uses signals from the vehicle to decide which protocols to use reporting out, or 2) sends and receives on a bunch of different protocols to work with different vehicle systems. Again, appreciate anyone who knows how the multi protocol sensors work telling: what do they do? How?
