I am thinking of getting a TS401 and it is priced so reasonably now, way less than the TS501or TS601, granted they both offer more capability than the TS401. I would think the price difference between each  for what they offer would only be a hundred dollar jump from one to the next one up, but that's not the case. Is the TS401 on the edge of the chopping block to becoming a discontinued model soon that won't be supported by updates ?

TS401 is used to activate sensors and read Sensor ID/tire pressure, temperature, battery condition, and relearn information.

But TS501 and TS601 can support to program MX-sensor and learn sensor ID. What more, TS601 has OBDII function.

Thanks Support , but my question still remains unanswered about whether or not the TS 401 is still going to be sold and  supported by new updates a few more years yet  or this is it for updates and it is being discontinued soon?.
Presently shopping around, the price difference between the TS401 and the TS 501 for what the TS501 offers over the TS 401, it seems great enough to cover  getting myself getting a  Maxi Check Pro besides the TS401. Getting these 2 probably can even save my ass from updating or upgrading from my expired DS708 for another year or two until I  can see if the alleged software functionality issues in the past year get resolved with quality updates.

Beware Everyone , This Question is Still Unanswered  whether or not the TS 401 will be discontinued  soon and not supported by updates after this latest 2.59 release.
By support avoiding to answer this question and based on the price of the TS401 I'm thinking TS401 will no longer be getting any new updates after this 2.59 release, so people if you buy this tool don't expect see updates for 2015 and up .

Sorry to reply you late. The new version V2.61 has been released to TS401. There is no plan to discontinue TS401 at present.

Support,Thanks for finding out and replying.2.59 has been working ok  for me. I Downloaded 2.59 and saved it to my PC. If I download 2.61 and if I have issues with using the latest update, can I rollback update to 2.59 if I saved 2.59 files to my PC ?

You can just copy all the files of previous version as backup. But V2.61 will be powerful than the old version, it can support to program sensors now , but V2.59 cannot.

Thanks,Support That's great addition ,but other than current year car coverage and newly added feature to write an old ID number of a expired sensor to a blank new sensor (sold by Autel ) I am way  more concerned that the update is a good one for all major makes of cars I am likely to see to be able to just read the sensors correctly .I  will let others BETA Test it for awhile , so I know it doesn't have any major software holes or glitches to be able to read older cars .If so I would wait for 2.63 and prefer not have to reinstall 2.59 again .:-)

Why did you take out the Tpms feature on maxicheck pro?  And put the battery management instead.  A lot of people who once owned a maxi pro which has a Tpms feature lost it once they upgrade their system.  It is unfair to maxi pro owner.  Why fix something that is not broken.  Please bring back the tpms feature on maxicheck pro.  So the ts401 won't be irrelevant anymore.
