Providing you are within your 12 mo free update period with a good  internet connection you should be able to do programming for some model BMW and Mercedes Benz from right off your MaxiSys Pro from Autel's server. No other car makes are supported for J2534 programming off the Tablet at this time, but there should be a CD with the drivers for The Maxi Flash Pro to install on a Windows laptop so you can use the VCI as a generic J2534 pass through device if you go to an OE website, and purchase a subscription and use a downloaded program
