If you already have a MaxiSys Pro, I don't think it would be worth upgading for the quicker processor, kitkat android os and a few more pixels of screen resolution

If you have an old  DS708 that update subscription expired a couple years ago , I would still keep the DS708 and don't update it,and when you desperately finally  have to get the newer model car coverage ,then I would upgrade to  Maxi Sys Elite .It is the logical choice if you can afford the several hundred dollar difference between the Pro and Elite, and though some functions that worked before on an old DS708 versions of software are reported to be no longer be available or won't  work any longer on the newer versions of software. Elite still likely will be able to do more stuff for awhile for less money then Strap On or OPP presently has. If it can't do something ,you can fall back on the old DS 708.If the DS 708 can't do it either ,you got the j2534 VCI and you can buy a 24 hour paid subscription like the OE manufacturers intended and  use it off a laptop with an OE program.

I enjoyed my Elite untill the i did my first update......now its slow and took forever to
update a few days ago.

 Any chance it might have contracted malware,  adware ,or spyware ?
