 yes, that is so true and when someone comes to me with a Passat and ask for a oil change quote and I tell them 120.00 they say that's too high, and that Goodyear service center just charges 19.99 I say ok,well you see this 300 gallon tank of used oil here? Well the truck pumps it out my tank,  and then resell it to local service centers and they sell it to you.. Plus the oil that I use is new(full synthetic), the filter is Bosch, and the damn car takes almost 7 quarts...So when someone can SUPPOSEDLY  do a high quality oil change and cant reset the cars service parameters for 20.00 I say you get what you pay for. I plainly ask them what kind of filter and oil do you think you can get for 20.00 for your car??Their faces drop is disbelief ...There is a reason why a quality oil change cost money and  people wonder why there engine sludge....People just have no clue, either it is going be done right or half - - -! Plus I am sure these mass producing service centers do not possess the diagnostics that we ALL have, not the investment...Yes simple things are now complex! and yes there is NO perfect tool...Even the Snap on VERUS ULTRA has its issues....and OTC,BOSCH,AND YES EVEN AUTOLOGIC...AND MOST  ARE MADE IN CHINA TOO...LOL 

 yes so far so good...IDMC is a leading aftermarket diagnostic manufacturer from China...what people do not know is that the original Teradyne chips in the BOSCH MOTORCRAFT VCM was made by them! yes! So by the time it gets here us and we purchase from M2K the darn things is 2000.00.. I have had good results with there products...and they stand by them.. Lets hope the diagnostic Gods keep raining down on us all ....smile..ok my friend until next time happy wrenching..
