My Maxidas can't conect with PCM of nissan sentra 1997 B14 the VIN Number is 3N1BDAB14V-000480, this nissan is from Mexico . This car just use OBD 1 port
The 97 car should be OBD2 . Pop the cover off the left lower part of the dash where you access the fuses and there should be a white 12 pin diagnostic connector. Use the Maxidas Nissan 12 pin connector to plug into that plug instead of the OBD2 16 pin connector .
Is there a vehicle emission label sticker under the hood that confirms it's OBD1? My guess is the power train , loom, and pcm might be transplants from an older donor vehicle. Plug in a MT2500 and ID it as 94 or 95 Sentra, or google the PCM number that's in the vehicle.
