  In my opinion It does not pay to re register it and allow an expired platform to co-mingle with Autels Server. You do not want something to just mysteriously go wrong and then have to update a used DS708. They were probably at their Zenith of capability for special OE functions for older car coverage before the end of 2014. I am keeping my DS708 just as it is and when I am finally in dire need for the newer car coverage , just buy a MS906 and keep my old Maxidas as a backup for when the newer MS 906 can't perform a certain function ,then see if the older Maxidas is able to or not.
