Hello, I bought a Maxiscan MS509 and now i want to update my Maxiscn but i can't connect the Maxiscan to my PC. Windows xp does not recognice the Maxiscan, Step i did : installing the the cdrom and then i connect the maxiscan but it'doesn't connect. Please help. Greetings, George

O no, i bought it by http://www.myobd2.de/ for € 39,50 but they have cheap me with this product. Thats why i experiance problems to connect to my PC Are there more cases of counterfeit.

My MS509 scanner works using the scanner to OBD2 cable but I cannot get it to connect to my computer. When I plug the scanner into the computer the screen lights up with the title page but the software package to download OBD2 data does not see it connected and my computer makes no attempt to load new hardware found. I have OHM'ed out my usb cable and it connects as followed SCANNER USB pin 13 > pin 4 GRD pin 12 > pin3 pin 11 > pin2 pin 10 > pin1 +5 I would like to know if this is correct.
