my MaxiDiag Elite tool scan can not communicate with the ecu/dme in a bmw e38 750iL V12

    I am trying to reset the "engine fail safe program" but my tool doesn't communicate with the DME !! Check Power ok, ignition key on acc, BAttery pwr ok !!

    What about the other systems? Can the device establish communications with them?
