Hello I have a Nissan Patrol 12 / 2001. GQ ZD30 ( MANUAL DIESEL) and purchased the AutoLink AL439 to read an active engine code but it just gives the message unabel to connect. Is there a software addition required?

     Hello I have a Australialn standard Nissan Patrol 12 / 2001. manual GQ with a ZD30 diesel engine and purchased the AutoLink AL439 to read an active engine code but it just gives the message unable to connect. Is there a software addition required ?

    No software addition is required. 
    You are doing the test with OBD II function, aren't you? The AL439 will search all OBD II protocols to find the one fit for your car. Did you see the protocol names showing on the screen?
