im sure the original bcm is ok, had just tried a different one before i found the harness issue. another shop before me had rewired the coil connectors and just made a real mess out of the harness, had bare wires taped together, real shoddy job. suprised this issue hasnt come up before now. when i put in different bcm i used the code i generated from it. and im using what im sure is the most recent update to the nissan software, so im pretty much convinced that i cannot do the c/u initialization on 2007 model vehicles. I know a guy with a key code programmer tool that should be able to take care of things now, just kinda irks me that i can do some stuff on some nissan vehicles and others i cant. ede65-thanks a lot for your help. youve been more than gracious to share your knowledge with me. ive never posted on this forum before,but ill keep tabs on the forum, lot of good info here, if theres anything i can ever help you with please let me  know
