     Hi. When I had my DS708 I registered it through Autel on the internet then went to the updates from Autel and updated what I wanted. Update was good for a year but they for some reason didn't shut it off for over a year so said the new owner that I sold it too. I also believe all the instruction are in the manual. Hope this helps
