Thanks for confirming the fact that the Autel forum moderators keep trying to bury like a cat turd.
My local locksmith does not
have the equipment to program new keys into PATS, but will clone keys for $65 each. Getting different keys at a dealership to initiate the built in "Customer Spare Key" function is a costly option I'd rather avoid for 2 trucks. As well, I frequently work with a used car dealer (the reason I bought a MS908P) and would rather buy equipment to fill in the gaps where the MS908P is defunct.
If I was still doing locksmith work the Advance Diagnostics would probably be the way to go, but it is a touch pricey as I would mainly use it as a dust collector. Some asshole mentioned the T300, but Ford is not even in its vehicle list. Has anyone had luck programming Ford keys into pre 2003 PATS systems with the CK-100?
