You could buy a one day subscription of GM and with your J2534 you can do that.

Hi Pedro. I don't have a MS908P yet, and I was wondering if you buy a 24 hour OE subscription and try to do things through a Windows Laptop will the J2534 programmer work, or do you have to do it through the MS 908P tablet. Has it worked for you most of the timewhen you have paid for a 24 hour subscription off  an OE website using the J2534 programmer?"

As far as I know you have to this:
    - Install drivers and software that you have in the CD that came with PRO.
    - Go to website of GM and do the register.
    - After that you can do the update of the ECU, by connecting J2534 to your laptop.

In GM website will find some instructions, if you found some difficult.

If I had the chance tomorrow or in Thursday, I will do that in a Ford Fiesta of 2010.

I can put here my experience after that.

I inform, that I have done ECU programs, recently, trough OEM website in a Ford Focus 2010, without any type problem. They provide all the instructions. I just have to pay for each ECU, 20€. All the ECU it's a little expensive, but in a official dealer it's the double. And most of time you only need to update PCM.

Just did a PCM reflash on a 2003 GM Pickup, had to use a laptop with OE short term subscription ($55 for a two day access). Did it with Maxiflash Pro and it worked great.

GOOD!!! That is very great news.

I hope you can get more people informing, that have done more programming stuff directly with OEM website.

Note: In most of the cases you only need to pay 1 day subscription. It's more cheaper.
