GM vehicle Reflash procedure with J2534 Maxiflash Pro and Windows PC or Laptop computer:
Before you begin, install Maxiflash  J2534 driviers on a Windows laptop. Download Maxisys PC Suite from Autel’s website here: http://pro.auteltech.com/queryProductToolsList.html?m=1&operationType=1
Open Maxisy PC Suite file, go to a folder named “J2534” run setup.exe to install your Maxiflash Pro drivers on the PC you plan to use.
Make sure you have a good Internet connection, also you are going to need a battery charger/maintainer: I bought one that worked good from Amazon for $115 (Powermax 110 Volt to 12 Volt DC Power Supply /Charger 55 Amp.) It will keep good and clean voltage at around 13.5V during reflash.
You need to go to GM to register and buy a short term subscription, the minimum you could buy right now is a 2 day subscription for $55. Here’s the link:  https://www.acdelcotds.com/acdelco/action/home
Make sure you have the latest Java application installed in your computer as GM reflash program uses Java engine and Internet Browser. You might need to disable Antivirus and Firewall on your computer as well. Once you have registered enter website and accept ACDelco TDS Website terms and conditions scroll down click “accept” then continue; There you will see the Account and Menu info, click to “Service and Programming Information”  a menu with different links will appear, select the subscription you desire under  “Service and Programming Only”  if using Maxiflash Pro, click “Subscribe Now” if you haven’t done so, select the subscription  (two days, one month, year, etc). It will give you a link if you bought it already in the same menu, go to “Access Your Subscription” ;  From the TIS menu, choose Service Programming System (SPS); (Note: depending in your computer system It might happen that Internet Explorer browser might try to block Java from running, in that case you have to create some program exemptions within Internet Explorer settings, if that’s your case copy and paste the name of the exemptions listed there, just read carefully it is there); click Start SPS to open the application;   Java  will start and will download some information to your PC, let the process finish; now a Software  Installation window will appear, since you are not using a Tech2, MDI, or any GM interface DON’T CLICK INSTALL, CLICK SKIP instead since your are using Maxiflash PRO, otherwise it will install Tech2  or MDI interface drivers; once you SKIPPED the Tech2 or MDI driver installation  continue; now another box window will appear, there you will see a list of J2534 interfaces, select Maxiflash PRO from list and click next; you will see a menu “Reprogram ECU”  or “Replace and Reprogram ECU” select accordingly; Now connect your Maxiflash PRO to the vehicle (connect Maxiflash to OBD2 connector first, then use USB cable provided to connect to PC), follow the on screen instructions carefully  and click next when ready; Identify your vehicle from drop down menu, the application will try to communicate the vehicle now; VIN will be pulled from your vehicle, make sure it is correct and click next; now select the controller you want to flash from menu and click next; select programming type NORMAL and click next; Now a page will review controller calibrations, click next; now calibration will be downloaded from GM server and controller will be updated, it might take like 20 minutes;  When your update is complete you will see a warranty claim window, YOU'RE DONE,  you can clear codes now or you can continue to update more controllers. GOOD LUCK ;0)

Don't forget that the brands have different websites for different parts of the world. For example, here in Portugal the website for Ford, is different from the one use in USA.

Yes,  the J2534 application it is downloaded from GM website through internet browser. You have to do it every time you flash as it won't stay in your computer.
