 I don't have the quote here (the price) but it is for all brands. You have one year of free updates and after that you get a subcription for a year at a time for updates. You will have all updates for that subcription, all brands/manufacturers/cars.

You can choose wether or not to buy this subscription since you will have your first session of updates already for free within the first year. The tool will work fine if you decide not to update after that year or to buy extra subscription if you see valuable updates coming available. You can update after a period of not updating just fine.
