    Copy of what I sent tech support:

       I'm having the same problem MANY, MANY people are having with my new AL619.  I have a 2001 Volvo S80 with a service airbag system warning light.  I bought this scanner because you say it specifically can pull the codes for this.  The scanner has version 4.0 of the volvo ABS/SRS software.  I am able to pull engine DTCs from the car with the AL619.  But every time I try to read the ABS or SRS codes it gives me the check connection error code...  I've done it about 20 times with the ignition both "on" and with the car running.  How do I (and apparently many others) get this to work???  The scan tool will also not pull the VIN number automatically either.  I have tried manually entering the VIN and manually inputting the car data.  Here are some of the details of my setup:

    2001 Volvo S80, automatic, 2.9L non-turbo
    Autolink AL619, with all software updated today
    Volvo VIN (excluding last 5 numbers) YV1TS94d1112xxxxx

    I tried reading the SRS and ABS codes from my 2015 dodge durango with no problems (no codes, but could connect as expected).

    Has anyone found the solution to this yet?  I've seen some say it's fixed  but didn't say what they did...

     Geez, nothing at all from tech support.  Imagine that!  Hello!!!!!  This seems to be a common problem but no tech support at all.

    Sorry, did you send email to support@autel.com? I will create a ticket and ask our engineer to check this problem soon. Any updated information, I will email you soon.

     I'm also having this issue.  One of the main reasons I bought the tool.

    After analysis, I am sorry, there is a bug in AL619 and we will arrange to solve it soon.

    i have the same problem with my new AL619, firmware 1.17, sys software version 4.5

    Volvo S60 2002. Cannot read / reset SRS codes.

    Is there any update available for this? Thanks

    Hi,  our engineer has tested the car here and there is no problem with the current software version. So when the tool cannot identify the car via VIN read, please try to input the VIN code manually to check the result. Thanks!

      Hi
    i already have mail contact with support and have sent my car VIN code and await more info. But i can inform
    that i already tried applying VIN code manually with no success. I get same communication error as "tazinhawaii" reported
    a few months ago. Other communication is working.
    I also have same same Volvo software (4.0 which is the latest) as "tazinhawaii" had a few months ago
    so unfortunately it seems like no bug fix has been released yet..?

     I'm having the same problem with my 2003 S60t.

    ...please keep us up to date with anything you find out.
