I am unable to install the MaxiLinkII software on my shop's main computer which runs Windows 7. It pops up an error saying specified file not found.

I can install it on one of my laptops that runs WinXP.

Is there a Windows 7 compatible version of the software?

The Maxilink software in the CD is compatible with Windows 7, but it is not compatible with Windows 8.1.

First of all, please uninstall the existing software on the Windows 7 computer and restart the computer.

Then before you reinstall the Maxilink software, please turn off the anti-virus software as it will prevent the Maxilink software from installing.

If still the same, please try it on another Windows 7 computer.

Nope, still not working. I've tried running with Antivirus off, run as administrator, run in compatibility mode, etc. and nothing works. Once I click the install button it's not long before a message pops up saying  Error -2 Cannot find the file specified. nothing ever gets installed, no entry is made in control panel unistall programs and a directory is not even created. This same downloaded version from Autelus.com is what I used to install on the WinXP laptop and it worked fine. I've tried re-downloading it and tried installing from the CD.

This machine is a 64bit Win7pro machine and I see when the installer is running it shows MaxiLink as a 32bit process, I don't know if that is an issue. This machine is also running a AMD A6-3600 processor with 8GB memory installed.

That one does the same thing as the one from Autelus.com.

Here's a quick video I made of the problem:

Hi Phantoms, we have tested in Win 7 pro with 64bit without any problem. We guess there is something wrong in your PC, maybe missing certain file in your system, but right now we can't locate it. So may I suggest you changing another PC to install Maxilink to install the updates temporarily? Thanks.
