    Why can I not reprogram ecm on a 05 pt cruiser. Only the diagnose function is available. Not even service or reprogramming is an option

     If you are talking about ECU Reflashing, the tablet is for read/erase trouble codes but not for reflash ECU's. for that you need the J2534 ECU and a laptop.
