Hi I just bought the Maxisys mini and I'm learning how to use it, but there is some I don't understand and I have search and read but I didn't find anything. What for is the security access? If I manage to put that code what will I be able to do? And second where can you find that number?Thanks -

Hi, security access is a kind of permission for some functions on cars and you need to input the correct security access codes to login before you can process the functions. A lot of functions such as air suspension learning, immobilizer, key programming and injector adaption etc will require security access and the codes are different for each function. You may get the security codes online or from us or from your car dealer. Thanks!

support where have you got security acces for immobilizer/ programming keys on VAG vehicles you cant even get that information from VW we have asked for pin extraction on many occasions but has still not been developed...
so your reply is confusing to say the least.. -

Autel isn't able to provide that function. Tho once you have the SKC pin code, the Autel tool does work fine with the functions needed so far that i've found. You'll have to buy a separate tool to read the SKC pin. i recently bought a cheapo tool on ebay. Some will tell you to buy the laptop cable, which i haven't used, but be aware you need an older laptop running XP to get it to work. The "Super VAG K+can" tool is stand-alone. and it works for me. ross-tech.com will have all the information about coding and access codes but NOT immo codes.. -

correct. VCDS (ross-tech's vagcom) will get you the ability to perform security access items, but doesn't provide the SKC code. i have one of these cables. and i'm mailing it to a friend in Michigan on monday. As i can't find anything vag-com will do for me that the Maxisys won't... yet. Vag-com is good at what it's intended for. but i'm still in search of a "one tool for all" system. it's frustrating to say the least.
