how to reset idle on bmw 545i

     hi. can anyone help me with resetting the idle on bmw 545i..... I have cleared all adaptations but idle is still low. (500rpm)  occasionally idle will rise and fall. think it would be better set at 750.
    I have found the idle setting in drive module but it appears that it does not work as when I select it, it does nothing.

    Try disconnect battery, then leave in ignition position 2 until the ETB shuts up about 1min. Turn ignition off then start let idle.
    That works for me.

    Sorry obviously reconnect before you turn inition on again.
