      Hi,

    Had a vauxhall vectra c 1.9cdti Z19dth engine with intermittent non starting issues checked fault codes with maxisys MS908 which showed error code p0340-28 camshaft sensor. Now my question is could this tool be giving me the incorrect code could this be the crankshaft sensor instead?

     i don't think so this tool is very accurate but there is a way to find out just delete the code unplug either the cam or crank sensor and see which fault code apears

     Thanks for your reply the reason i've asked this question is because i believe that this engine would still start fine with a faulty camshaft sensor but would not with a faulty crankshaft sensor but then surely it would have displayed a p0335 error code instead?
