I don't have a Maxi Sys , but If I had to venture a guess, it sounds like the tool might have accidentally been wiped by a factory restore and now cannot find any software.Hope you made a software backup of the entire  scan folder on your PC that you can copy and paste to a good new formatted Micro SD card and see if the device detects the card with scan folder and moves on .
