I have the Maxisys mini and am working on a 2007 international 4200 box truck. I have the adapter for the 9 pin Deutsch connector but do not have software to read anything. Is there any software available to download to the mini so I could read codes and see live data on the international trucks?

You need more than software. The VCI will not work on heavy trucks that I`m aware of. You would need a converter for J1708/J1939 to rs232.
You could purchase software from International if you had the converter. I still have the old Master Diagnostics International software. That was only $300 but they do not sell it anymore, it is outdated.
If you find something that works for you let me know. I`m always looking for stuff like that.I purchased my J1708/J1939 converter from B&B Electronics. They have a software program that goes with it but it sucks (unless they updated it).

Well the Maxisys mini cane with an adapter to go from the 9 pin Deutsch to the 16 pin OBD2 on the vci. So I don't understand why I would need more than just software. We have an OTC at the shop that has an OBD2 to Deutsch adapter and it has heavy truck software. Nothing else is needed so I don't see why the mini couldn't do it.

Heavy trucks use a different protocol. Cars use 4 different protocols and the VCI can convert those 4 protocols to rs232 (rs232 is what PC`s read). Trucks use two protocols,J1939 and J1708. You need a VCI that can convert J1708 and J1939 over to rs232 so the software on your tablet can talk to the truck. As far as I know, the VCI that comes with MaxiSys only converts the 4 automotive protocols.
I heard Autel makes a heavy truck tool but I never seen one and they do not list it on their site.
Autel gives out OBD I connectors with their tools and they have no OBD I coverage so just because you have a connector don`t mean you have coverage with this company.
