how do you format a sd card for ds708

    purchased used ds708 and screen has the following message;

    "The SD card is damaged or not inserted, or wrong SD card is inserted."

    I have a SD card. how do I format it. can't get pass this message on the screen.

      First back-up the card on your PC. Download the DS708 PC Suite  and update the card on your computer.  You must have a current subscription otherwise is not going to work.  http://support.autel.com/support/solutions/folders/8000079030

    Sometimes just connecting your device to the computer via USB cable and opening the card and leave it there for few minutes may fix the issue.  After few minutes disconnect the device and see if works. If don't work probably you need to registered the device then update the card.

    A new card should work out of the box, otherwise format on PC as FAT32.

    If you still have issues, try to format in a digital camera or Android/Linux system with FAT32 and Full/deep format.
    Some times Windows writes extra data in the SD/Partition that the old DS708 does not like.

    But we aware.

    Use a new SD !
    708 is dead, no updates or suppport provided by Autel anymore !
    If you bought it as working, return to seller and get money back.
