Replacing a battery on a 2012 bmw model x1, and can't program info into car

     Im trying to program new car battery (aftermarket battery not bmw original battery)info into the 2012 bmw model x1 (e84) and the software on the maxidas ds708 keeps bumping me out the bmx software in the maxidas is version 10 ,last version available for free for the ds708 ( dec 2017 )  i also tried previous versions with no success . Help please.

    I think my DS708 only gave me the option to select a couple factory BMW battery options and required some entry of some Farfignueggen Funk code retrieved off the battery tag someplace? Yeah  , so it is pretty useless for giving you any other option to enter an  aftermarket battery CCA.
