why won't my al629 communicate with srs controller

    I upgraded to a AL629 so I could read SRS codes on my 2007 Toyota Avalon. The unit will check engine codes, but it will not communicate with SRS control unit. Tried 5 times, or more. Gives a list of 5 things to check, like is key on, Make sure the cable is in DLC, make sure the battery is charged, verify the system is configured correctly, and lastly, please check connector ( toyota 17 pin/ toyota 23pin) what is that?


    And, WOW!!! What a slow moving website! Like a one legged dog.
