AL 619 no ABS communication with GM vehicles(or at least the ones I have tried so far)?

     I recently purchased an AL619 scan tool for it's ABS/SRS functions.
    It seems to have very little function in that regard?

    I connected to a 1999 GMC Sierra pickup and while the ECU and SRS module were able to connect and communicate the ABS module had no communication.
    I then tried a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and it was the same result.

    Later I tried a 2003 Ford F150 and it did communicate with all modules on that vehicle.

    I live in a General Motors  dominant community and if this tool can not do ABS communication with GM products it is of no value to me or likely anyone else in North America

    I have tried checking vehicle abilities or whatever it is called on your site and when AL 619 is chosen AL 609 is displayed with NO applications apparent.

    Also there are no software updates to apply?
    Please address this tools GM shortfalls or instruct me as to how to make it communicate with working modules that it so far will not communicate with.
