First of all what vehicle are we talking about............And what are the symptoms also, what makes you think that you have a ignition coil fault.......? Have you tried diagnosing using OBD2 system and not from the vehicle model software......?

 Not sure what you are working on, but some vehicles have current and history cylinder misfire counts in live data , and in special functions a power balance test or ability to individually disable fuel injectors one at a time to check if a cylinder is contributing or not
