    Hi
    Got autel mk808
    Plug adapter and the obd adapter with power in adapter..
    Can't seem to reader to find ecu
    Iam guessing I need software
    Any ideas which one?

    Autel do provide the adaptors for old cars but, I don't think if Autel tool is any good on older cars.........

    If it don't auto ID the vehicle, then manually select make and enter the VIN.
    If it can't decode the VIN, then manually select the vehicle from a list of vehicles,
    If it don't see it as a Ford Ranger , then maybe try Mazda B2200 or the re-badged equivalent of the Ford Ranger.
    If that don't work , check the pins of your cable or see if another brand scan tool can communicate
