    Hi Guys,
    The car is a 2007 Jetta 2.5L. The ECM is dead (water intrusion). What is the "software adaptation" function in the 908P? Is that ECM programming? Will the 908P program a replacement module (with a current subscription)?

     I don't think it can do as you will need pin codes for both for your car as well as for the replacement ECM which MS908Pro can't extract them..

    If you can extract the pin codes from both ECM than use VagCom to adapt them is the easy way to go...

    I should be able to pull the pin codes with the IM608 that I have if I could get
    communications back with the failed ECM. I have the VAG COM too. Have you done
    this job with a VAG COM before?

     You can try getting your car pin code from the instrument if you can't communicate with your ECM, Yes I have Adapted ECM before using VagCom it's not a problem for a car of that year 2007......
