I  was able to find the  regular XP 400 clearance priced to add European car capability to my IM 508 now since the new XP400 Pro just came out, but when I was checking out what the XP400 Pro can offer what the XP400 can't , I saw a notice that looks like there is something the regular old XP400 has that the new XP400 Pro may no longer have?

 It reads in red print "Please note that the product does NOT support Read/Write IC Card function.

   The "IC Card Induction Area"was also removed from the XP 400 Pro"

Is this something that may be considered court ordered  removal of a useful feature or just a rarely used obsolete feature that is achieved by easier means of achieving the same end with better hardware and software inside.Inquiring minds would like to know.
