Stored code will not erase + no check engine light

     Just wondering if anyone has an answer for this. I have a P017 code. I hit erase but it will not erase. The check engine light is no longer on and car is running fine.

     What is code description?  What scan tool are you using , and the  make model year car are you talking about?

     Autel AL329. P0171 is the code (bank 1 System is to lean).  Cadillac ATS 2014

    Ricardo, some codes will not clear until you drive the car and the computer runs the O2
    monitor (in your case) and passes. Then the light goes out after confirmation that the
    problem is repaired.
