I've searched for the answer but no one has answered the presented question.
I have a 2014 Outback and have replaced the CVT valve body. Now the transmission needs reprogramed. What Autel tool is capable of this? Will the DS808K do it?

Thank you so much for the info! It's amazing how difficult it is to find this one piece of info. The manufacture hasn't been of any help in a response to tell me what tool of theirs will work.

In this YouTube video the guy uses an Autel tool to program the same transmission I have.

He uses the Autel Ultra, which is the top-of-the-line tool that I don't have the money to purchase. I'm just hoping one of the $800 tools is capable of this function.

Hi, you can not compare a 4000 plus dollar device with a 800 dollar one ,if you only
have to use it on one car you better visit a specialist or dealer capable of doing the job
for you, sometimes that is the cheapest way to do.

Very true. It just wouldn't be a good financial decision to spend $4k when $500 paid to the dealer would correct the problem.

UPDATE:  I did purchase an XTool diagnostic computer (D9). I gave Autel a chance and emailed them to ask for help. I received an email back from Marvin Cooper, stating, "Thank you for contacting Autel customer support. Confirming with the engineers then i will let you know."

I waited 5 days and didn't get a reply so I emailed them again and stated I'm in a bit of a time crunch and hoping for some info from the engineering department.

Later that day I received this message back, "Yes i understand, soon as they get back to me i will let you know."

That was the last message I received from Autel. I concluded that if I'm having difficulty with support at the stage where I'm just waiting on them to make my purchase, then most likely I'm not going to have much support if needed after my purchase.

On the other hand, Xtool has been amazing every step of the way. They gave me tool options and the specific menus to go through to do the re-learning procedure. Any difficulty I've discovered in the diagnosing of 5 different vehicles so far has been quickly addressed by support.

Hi, this tool d9 is also a expensive device in my country US$ 1699, about twice the
money as for the808 but did it work? When you can use it for various cars it is worth
this kind of money, but for only one car problem it would be cheaper to visit a
    transmission specialist I think.
