    Hi,yes this car is to old for a late model scanner you need a older scanner and a merc
    cable too when it is still obd one .this model E is build from 1995 to 2003.

    I was supplied with obd1 connectors with my maxi sys, I don't understand why it won't
    work other models of that year are support
