It happened with key off or out, I'm not sure if the car has a failing ignition switch or it had something to do with the vehicle Intellilink system mistaking something picked up as a remote start command. 

  It still happened with the Maxi Sys Elite VCI unplugged, but I didn't have my Maxi Sys Elite turned off or it's Blue tooth turned off, so I don't know.

 FYI Best to disconnect the battery or starter relay on one of theseTurds before doing any kind of under hood  repair that can risk harm to body or vehicle if starter randomly engages!
