    Hi all.

I have a 2 part question on my MaxiCOM MK808B Pro.

Customer Service doesn’t seem to want to answer properly the 2nd question as they are cryptic with their response.

The 1st question is, why doesn’t my MaxiCOM MK808B Pro connect to my wifi?

Yes I entered the PW correctly & yes I let it auto detect the router even after I pressed the forget tab.

The 2nd question, I let my 1 year of SW updates expire because I’m not working in a garage & when I went to use my scanner on my 2023 Toyota Veloz, it didn’t want to work.

When I plugged in the VCI it did not auto detect the VIN & did not recognize the vehicle, even though I manually selected the Avanza/Veloz option & manually entered the VIN.

Do I need an active subscription to use this scanner?

    Thanks

Hi, yes , on such a young car you need the latest update.

Hi, that was not an answer to one of my questions, but thanks.
The question was do I need an active subscription to use it.
And BTW, since the scanner does show this vehicle in its library, I'd guess the update for the vehicle is already installed.

Hi, first did you give the right code for your WiFi ? And yes when the vehicle is i n your
devices library it should work, and no you do not need a active subscription ,it will work
normally on the than existing models.

Hi, as I stated, yes I did enter the right password on my wifi & thanks for the 2nd part of the question. that was my main concern.
    I didn't know if I had a $500 brick.

Sometimes the problem is the VCI that needs to be updated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48xfPrMTiyc

That makes no sense. The latest update would be for the latest cars. He has the latest car.

You do. Mine is going back in 48 hours. It doesn't know Toyota even exists.
