This happened to me also. I was able to do the manual ID entry when I first purchased my TS508WF in Feb. 2024. I did not do any updates until early Sept 2024 and they have removed the ability to do manual ID entry. I am not happy about this as that is why I purchased the tool in the first place. I called tech support on 9/20/24 and they said the engineers decided to remove this option and there is nothing they can do about it. You may be able to return your tool and purchase a different tool from a company that won't screw you over.
