my new ts501 pro wont detect any valves on several diff cars

hi everyone , just purchased a TS501 PRO but regardless of what car i try it on it dosnt detect the valves .... any help apreciated -

Hi, are you sure its working, try another one if possible.see you tube for the problems
common with the 501 and what you can do about it. -

thats the problem ..i dont think it is working and have no acces to another tool .... iv watched every utube video i can find and im doing nothing wrong . i just get a red X and no reeding of any valve on several cars iv tried the tool on now . going to send it back
