Hi, I have recently bought a Fiat Ducato van from 2012, with the 115 multijet (2.0 JTD engine). The issue I have is there is an airbag warning light on the dashboard, so I bought the Autel AL619 to read the code. However, when trying to read the SRS through the scanner, I get two options after selecting Europe -> FIAT;

1. All other cars
2. Models from 2007 (including Ducato, among with other types)

When selecting option 2 and then selecting the year 2012, I don't get the option to select a Ducato, only a handfull of smaller hatchbacks etc. I tried them all but without luck as expected (giving the screen saying "no communication between the tester and control unit").

When this didn't work I tried the different years from 2007 until now, but without any luck either.

My next thought was to then try option 1 (All other cars), since it was the only thing left, where I do find four Ducato options which do have the 2.0 JTD option, but when selecting those and then selecting the airbag module, I get the same error, saying "no communication between the tester and control unit".

I don't quite see what I'm missing here? am I actually missing the software? Or should I be using the 12+8 cable? I thought the latter was only with newer models. In the manual there is also a way to manually get into the SRS system, but that option is not given when selecting FIAT.

I hope someone can help me out here.

Hi, on option2 you can find ducato on the 2014 model year,try this. Also the scanner
you have bought is the cheapest option for scanners. Better try a mk808 for more
success.

I tried the 2014 option indeed when going through the different years but without succes...
Do you know if this mk808 wil definitely work? 300+ euros is quite steep as a trial and error option for me.

Hi, I found the 2014 year in my mk808, but I really don't know if it work than on the car.

Hi, check the obd connector,also check the underseat connectors for corrosion and
clean connectors.than when done try a deep reset(disconnect the battery cables for a
couple of hours. And connect them again ,turn on ignition and look if the airbag light
turn off.

Hi, also your car with the 2.0 jtd is found in cars to 2007 , try several even the ones with
other engines ,you only have to read airbag module. If noting helps,try a deep reset.

Hi, thanks for all the great suggestions! I have been away for a while but today I tried again and also had some contact with Autel tech support in the meantime. they provided me the name of the airbag system so I could pinpoint a bit more in my search. Even though I am certain I had checked al the ducato options there are, today one of them worked! for me (115 multijet) it's the following options which got me there:

DUCATO FL (250) - 2.0 JTD - TRW AIRBAG (EP-PROXY) 2
