I have a Maxi check MX808S-TS.  Is it in service, Suspension? I go to Toyota and it asks to auto scan vin... Vin reading failed. I go to manual and put in Vin and it says Vin decoding failed. Kind of leaves me hanging.

    BTW 2001 Toyota Sequoia,

New to the Autel scan tool and trying to learn.

So far this is the first thing I have tried using in service.

Hi, your car is just to old for a modern scanner ,you need a older scanner capable of
diagnosing Toyota cars or dealer equipment modern scanners start as of 2002 model
    year.

Hi, you still can find the 2001 sequoia manually under Toyota ,choose sequoia , the
rare different years to choose from than if you have the correct year see than what you
    can check.

Something I did not know. I thought they were more common as of 1996.

Ok, I kept getting hung up with not finding vin and the tool would hang at that point.
