When I first purchased my maxisys I didn't get the pro off the bat. Now I need the programming capability of the j2534 and I need to know what I need to do to the maxisys to get the jbox to work with it

From what I understand, and you should be aware of ,  is  if you upgrade your MS 908 to a MS908 Pro with the J2534 Maxi Flash Pro your annual update cost that presently is $900 to update is  going to jump another $300- $400 to $1200 or $1300 for your access to  the Autel server with the available  J2534 files to download. That access to OE  programming files they have on server for download ceases after the 1 year update period ends and not too many or any OE sites show the Maxi Flash  Pro as a supported pass through  device you can use off a laptop to program with because the  OE manufacturers increasingly view it as a tool for obtaining unauthorized Boot leg versions of OE software and what normally would work fine as a pass through device might increasingly fail if downloaded software contains something in it for security purposes to prevent a non supported pass through device from working properly. I don't think the problem is the j2534 device , but it's the unhappy OEs doing what they can to make an unsupported J2534 device not work even (if you paid for a 24 hour subscription)

What type of VCI do you have? Normal or J2534?

I think you just need to the Bluetooth  paring and it's ready to work with your MS908. If you need to do some pass-trough, then you to install the software that came on Autel CD in your laptop.

I put in a ticket with the serial of the
j2534 and they replied that my system was upgraded on their system. Now they said I had to reregister my maxisys and that where I'm at now. When you connect the pass thru and try to do an update it will say you qualify for an upgrade to maxisyspro.
