Ford ETIS http://www.etis.ford.com/ does not find my MaxiFlash Pro, while FORScan works fine with it.
In the log I found the following line:
Failed to open registry key for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport.04.04
I found this registry key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PassThruSupport.04.04 and copied it to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport.04.04
Now ETIS seems to find the driver, but can't communicate with the MaxiFlash Pro. In the column platform behind Maxilash Pro appears "AMD64". So I think, ETIS need a 64bit driver dll. Is there a 64bit driver available?
When I run iexplorer.exe from C:\Program Files (x86) it seems to run still in 64bit. Is there a way to run iexplorer.exe and Java in 32bit mode on an Windows 7 Professional 64bit?

Problem solved.
If the Enhanced Protected Mode in IE is enabled, IE will install and use JAVA 64bit, even if you run it from C:\Program Files (x86).
If the Enhanced Protected Mode in IE is disabled, IE will install and use JAVA 32bit, even if you run it from C:\Program Files.
Disabling the Enhanced Protected Mode in IE, restarting the computer and installing JAVA 32bit solved the problem. Now Ford ETIS find and use the driver dll from MaxiFlash Pro, which is only 32bit.
But a 64bit driver dll for the MaxiFlash Pro would be great. No one know how long IE will still support 32bit on 64bit systems.
