I have the Maxisys 908 and the TS 401. The two do not interact or communicate with each other. You need both tools to perform ID registration the maxisys to start the procedure and the TS401 to activate the sensors for the BCM to read the ID numbers. I programmed a Toyota with both these tools and it works very good. For Nissan's go to TPMS ID registration and start learn procedure. Then go to left front wheel and activate sensor. The turn signal will blink twice. Then the front right, rear right, rear left tires. After all is registered you can go to live data and look at the sensor data and should show the pressure, temperature, and the sensor ID number. This procedure is for a Nissan Rogue, I don't know what model you are working on but it might be the same. Let me know what model and I can look it up? You can compare data from the TS 401 and the live data screen to very a good registration. Just remember to keep other vehicles away when performing TPMS ID registration as other vehicles TPMS sensors can interfere with the programming/
