I think a record of VIN # with time and date is sufficient for me, If tool is capable of auto filling VIN and mileage that is OK. These tools seem to be getting more intrusive and bureaucratic and IMO requires extra required time on my end just to cover Autel's butt from liability agreeing to disclaimers and filling out required fields of information before it lets you autoscan . As Bessie The Cow says, "It's Udder Bullsh@t."

  I also don't like that if you do more than one auto scan during the course of repairing the vehicle  it seems overwrite and  the original prescan is lost. When Auto scanning multiple times , the Tool should save the original Pre Scan, but  give you the option or not to save subsequent autoscans as the final post scan or not.
