I forgot to mention that the printed reports look professional on the Scanpad but the printing is a pain from what I can tell.
I haven't been able to print directly to my network printer from the diagnostic screen by clicking on the print button. It looks like I need to purchase the Launch printer for that to work.
But because the Scanpad is unlocked all I did was downloaded and installed an app for printing PDF documents directly to my network printer. So now all I do is save and share the report to my networked printer. Yep, you can download and install Google Play apps!
The Scanpad lets you roll back to previous versions very easily. There is a list of available versions in the update screen next to each manufacturer and you can select from several previous versions if you wish to roll back for any reason.
As well as rolling back permanently you can also do a quick rollback just for the vehicle you are connecting to. Just before you connect to a vehicle you are presented with a screen that shows the current and previous versions of software and you can continue to connect with the current version or you can select the previous version for that one connection. Pretty cool!

    2008 Mazda 3 system scan.
Using a stopwatch, I timed from the start when I hit the Mazda button to when the system scan was complete, showing a list of six modules and codes.
    The MaxiSys took 1:18:68.
    The Scanpad took 0:20:31

i agree speed is not so important but 1 hour 20 mins to do a scan!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the at the end of it it wont do the procedure you wanted.

I apologize. I should have been clearer.
The MaxiSys took 1 minute and 18 seconds.
The Launch tool a blistering 20 seconds to do the same scan.
I know that speed isn't everything but that sure is fast!!!
And, as I said earlier, the Launch goes back to the early 90's in coverage. So far, the Launch has done every actuation and special function that I have tried. The Ford power balance works great on Bluetooth, no need for USB cabling.
It is a shame the printing, PID view and graphing isn't as good as the MaxiSys though.

Well that's ok for a scan many original tools take that long.
