Did a complete update on my Maxisys mini on Sunday, 08 Nov 15. Tested it today for the first time and the auto vin detect failed. I tested it again after selecting the make and that did not allow me to enter all 17 characters only about 10. I then entered it manually and the vehicle then came up..... here is the info
    Make.....Honda
    Model......Civic
    Year......2002
    Vin.... can't remember.

Can you tell me why the auto vin detect failed and why I was unable to enter all 17 characters after selecting make.
Sorry did not do log file.

Auto Vin detection don't in all cars. And this is a little software that decode the VIN apart of the brands software.

For me this is not so important, because most of the times if you enter in the brand the software, most of the times, detected the VIN automatically.

     Hi Pedro,
Today I tested the auto vin. I select the make and then after it went through its scanning it asked me to enter the vin but only allowed me to enter 10 characters and not the full seventeen. Have you ever had this problem?

It is strange. What's the path you entered? And if it is convenient for you, please collect a datalog for our checking.

The vehicle is a 2002 Honda Civic. Path, I selected Make - Honda and after scanning I then had to choose a country from Canada, USA, Japan, Europe. I chose Japan and after scanning again it, asked to enter vin and that is where I could only enter 10 characters.

Will try again to collect datalogs.
