    Check if you got a fake = no USB chip in there (search for USB pinout and check serial number)

    Any MS509 with a serial number of MS505245 is 99% counterfeit. So just contact your seller and ask for a return and refund.

    Do you have any ? in the windows device manager ?
    Driver software for the SUB-to-Serial chip of the MS509 installed correctly ?
    Do you see the COM? device when the MS509 is connected ?
    Does Windows recognize the MS509 at all (if not it may be a fake device).
